Barangaroo Reserve is a sprawling, six-hectare public parkland at the northern end of Barangaroo. The Reserve boasts a naturalistic headland, harbour views, extensive walking and cycling trails, idyllic coves, unique event spaces, peaceful picnic spots and over 75,000 native trees and shrubs.
The recreated harbour foreshore of the Reserve features spectacular sandstone blocks excavated from the eastern end of the Reserve.
At the site of this excavation now sits the Cutaway, one of Australia’s largest, internal event spaces. Meticulously constructed with an enormous sandstone wall that opens to the sky, this super-sized concrete void sits below the 12,000 cubic metres of landscaping at Barangaroo Reserve.
