The original headland and foreshore at the site of what is now Barangaroo Reserve was cut away in the early 1800s to accommodate Sydney’s burgeoning harbour port.
The use of innovative, industry-first technology has allowed the creation of a naturalistic headland at the Reserve and restoration of the original shoreline. This spectacular promontory has now been visually reunited with Goat Island and sister headlands at Balls Head, McMahons Point and Ballast Point.
