Work is required to replace several large glass panels on Tower One, International Towers Sydney.
This work will take place over a weekend between 7am and 5pm:
- Saturday 2 March and Sunday 3 March 2019
A crane will be used in Watermans Quay to lift the glass panels into place. This work is not expected to cause any excessive noise and is scheduled for a weekend to minimise vehicle congestion in the area.
To protect the safety of road users, pedestrians and workers, a temporary closure of Watermans Quay and Barangaroo Avenue is required during this work. This closure will remain in place overnight for work on Saturday and Sunday.
Due to the nature of this work, the ability to carry it out is influenced by weather conditions, specifically wind direction and speed. If the work cannot be completed on the above dates, it will be carried out on the dates below, between 7am and 5pm:
- Saturday, 9 March and Sunday, 10 March 2019
- Saturday, 16 March and Sunday, 17 March 2019
- Saturday, 23 March and Sunday, 24 March 2019
- Saturday, 30 March and Sunday, 31 March 2019
Traffic and Pedestrian Safety
Barangaroo Avenue will be closed to traffic from Lime Street for the duration of the work, however, vehicle access to the International Towers Sydney loading dock, basement and resident parking will be maintained at all times. Traffic controllers at key locations will assist drivers to navigate around the work.
Pedestrian access to the shops, restaurants and cafes along Barangaroo Avenue will be maintained as usual. Please note, there will be no pedestrian access along Watermans Quay during the work. Access to all restaurants within Tower One, International Towers Sydney, will be maintained, however, patrons and staff accessing 12-Micron should use the southern entrance on Shipwright Walk.
