Barton Street is currently being constructed as a temporary road to satisfy the requirements of Conditions B3(5) and C8 of the Barangaroo Concept Plan Approval (MP06_0162 - Modification 8). A Review of Environmental Factors (REF) was prepared and determined by Infrastructure NSW in June 2020 for the construction and operation of Barton Street as a temporary road for construction vehicles. Following this, Modification 11 to the Barangaroo Concept Plan (Mod 11) was approved in October 2020, permitting Barton street to be used by all public vehicles. Infrastructure NSW has subsequently prepared and determined an Addendum to the REF assessing the impact of the use of Barton Street as a temporary public road.
