Instead of spoiling your mum with breakfast in bed this Mother’s Day, start her special day at Damulay Ngurang, our traditional First Nation’s Mother’s Day breakfast celebration at Sea Wall Lawn in Barangaroo Reserve.

Damulay Ngurang means friendship place in local Sydney language and that’s exactly what this event is all about. Building friendship and connection through appreciation and celebration of mothers, parents and caregivers via a fun morning of dance, ceremony and craft that includes:

  • a welcome smoking ceremony,
  • interactive Aboriginal dance performances,
  • weaving workshops,
  • native flora crown making workshops; and
  • storytelling sessions.

Walkabout Coffee Van will also be offering an extensive FREE menu of Indigenous inspired dishes for participants to enjoy. Catering is plentiful but limited and may run out so make you get in early so you don’t miss out on sampling these tasty morsels.
